Which tank is better for a betta?

Ok first off i have had so many male bettas before. The bettas do not like filters because alot of times their fins get sucked in. What me and my sisters usually do is go out and buy a vase (like average size) and we put the betta in there with not sharp rocks at the bottom of the tank. Then you buy a bamboo shoot because they make bettas live longer. And your never too young to have a fish =). Good luck
