Are you pro-Jesus but anti-Church?

Is such a thing possible? Jesus was pretty laid back and groovy, but certain individuals and congregations have, through their hateful attitudes, driven a lot of people away from the very idea of Christianity being a positive thing. Not just the sign-waving whack jobs like Phelps and his crew, but even all those overbearing parents and grandparents, whose children got sick of all the throat jamming and went a different way. Can a person like the concepts that Jesus stood for, but be disillusioned with the church or do the two automatically go hand in hand? Just curious what perspectives everyone has, all takers welcome.
